Burials & Cremations
Clear, practical guidance on arranging a burial or cremation in Worcester, and the people who are here to help you through it.
A note on our current services
Worcester Crematorium is being refurbished, with works due for completion in 2026. Cremation services are paused during the works — your funeral director can arrange a service at a nearby crematorium. Burials continue as normal at Astwood and St John's. Our team is based at the KGV Hub (visits by appointment only), and the Book of Remembrance is temporarily at Worcester Guildhall.
Here to help you arrange a burial or cremation
Losing someone is one of the hardest things any of us face. Our Bereavement Services team cares for Astwood and St John's cemeteries and Worcester Crematorium, and we are here to make the practical side as clear and gentle as we can.
Whether you are arranging a burial or a cremation, your funeral director will usually guide you through the paperwork and the choices along the way. These pages explain what to expect, the options available to you, and the fees involved.
