Our sites

Worcester City Council cares for two cemeteries, the crematorium and several gardens and memorial areas across the city. Choose a place below for visiting information, opening times and history.

A note on our current services

Worcester Crematorium is being refurbished, with works due for completion in 2026. Our team is based at the KGV Hub, Ash Avenue, Worcester WR4 9TL, and the Book of Remembrance is temporarily at the Guildhall. Astwood and St John's cemeteries remain open as normal. Office visits are by appointment only.

Worcester Crematorium is undergoing a major refurbishment, scheduled for completion in 2026.

During this time, the Bereavement Services team are based at the KGV Hub in Ash Avenue, off Brickfields Road, WR4 9TL. Visits to the office are by appointment only.

The Book of Remembrance has temporarily moved to the Guildhall in High Street WR1 2EY. It can be viewed Monday-Saturday – opening times below.

The grounds of Astwood Cemetery are open as normal throughout the refurbishment period.
