Artificer 3rd Class Atkins served with the Royal Navy up until 16 Nov 1947 and died in service at Harwich Naval Barracks. Naval records indicate that an unspecified illness accounted for Reginald. He was returned to Worcester and buried on 23 Nov 1947.

Born in Worcester circa 1921; enlisted into the Royal Army Service Corps. Casualty List No. 1077 indicates Private Ball was the victim of an accident whilst in service. Awarded the 1939–1945 Star and 1939–1945 War Medal.

Enlisted under the National Service Act. Pilot of English Electric Canberra WK129, stationed at RAF Pershore. With his navigator, Flt Lt Kenneth Shelley, he was taking part in tests with a Ministry of Supply radar unit on the summit of Drum, North Wales. After the tests he sent a message that they were returning to base; nothing further was heard. The wreckage was found on the northern side of Carnedd Llewelyn; the cause was assumed to be engine failure due to icing.

Sergeant (Pilot) Alfred Vernon Band, RAF Volunteer Reserve. Son of Albert Victor and Beatrice Band of Worcester. An Air Ministry record of 12 Jun 1941 indicates Sgt Band died of wounds or injuries received on active service at his station in Cumbria. Non-CWG headstone.

Born in Worcester circa 1893. Served with 4th Bn Worcestershire Regiment until his death. Died in hospital in Southampton before being returned home for burial.

Born 1908 in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Enlisted 1940; posted to 62nd Anti-Tank Regiment. Married Ivy Maud Roberts in 1933, Worcester.

Born 1918 in Weymouth, Dorset. RAF Volunteer Reserve; died aged 22 on active service. His brother, Trooper Jasper Baring-Gould, was also killed in service. Pilot Officer of Tiger Moth T7160, No.2 Elementary Flying Training School; his aircraft hit high-tension wires and crashed into Diglis Weir, Worcester. His pupil survived.

Private, 3rd Bn Northumberland Fusiliers; transferred to the Labour Corps to the end of his service following hospitalisation and transfer from France. Died from sickness following wounds received in Flanders in the summer of 1915.

Born circa 1919 in Worcester. Enlisted with the RAF Volunteer Reserve in 1940. Died in an accident: Vickers Wellington X9666 of No.21 OTU took off from RAF Moreton-in-Marsh for bombing practice; over the Welsh mountains the aircraft iced over and struck high ground.

Born Apr 1919 in Worcester. Enlisted 1940; present during the evacuation from Dunkirk. Died in hospital in Truro from polio, possibly a consequence of standing in polluted sea water during the evacuation.

Enlisted into the RAOC; in France 1940 before the advance into Belgium and evacuation from Dunkirk. Killed in action; died in hospital in Hampshire before return to Worcester.

Born 21 May 1896 in West Bromwich. Enlisted in the RAF on 30 Sept 1918. Training to be a mechanic on military airframes at the time of his death. Buried in Astwood Cemetery on return from his duty station in Belfast.

Born 4 January 1917. Joined the RAF between the wars; Flight Sergeant air-gunner. Killed on active service when Whitley P5092 of No.19 OTU broke up over the Innes Links bombing range, Lossiemouth. Buried at Astwood 1 Jun 1942.

Deployed with the UK contingent of NATO forces in Afghanistan. Private Williams died after stepping on an improvised explosive device while on patrol east of Gereshk, Helmand; his platoon had been tasked with retrieving the body of an Afghan National Army soldier. Aged 23, from Worcester; joined the regiment in November 2008. Survived by his mother Linda and sister Jennifer.

Served with the RAF; died 18 September 1945.
